Verayna Zilm is one of the States best rowers. Her achievements were recognised at the Buckingham Rowing Clubs Annual Dinner. At this year’s Tasmanian Club Championships Verayna won a total of six State Titles, winning every event she contested. These included the Senior women’s Single Scull, Senior Women’s Lightweight Single Scull, Senior women’s Double Scull, Senior Women’s Quad Scull, Senior Women’s Four and the Senior Women’s Eight.

Such an achievement is extremely rare and may only have been matched in recent years by Henry Youl of the Tamar Rowing Club

At the Australian Championships held in Sydney recently, Verayna achieved success in the Open lightweight Women’s Quad Scull (Gold), Club Woman’s Four (Silver), Open Lightweight Women’s Single (Bronze) and the Interstate Vitoria Cup (Lightweight Women’s Quad) (Silver).
